Navigating Autism as a Foster Parent

Caring for a child with Autism as a foster parent comes with unique challenges, but the right knowledge and support can make all the difference.   • Recognize the differences between trauma-based or neglect-based behaviors and Autism behaviors
  • Apply practical strategies for managing challenging behaviors at home
  • Understand how Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) services can support a child’s development
  • Navigate the step-by-step process of accessing ABA services
